She kept on figure skating until she reached the age of thirteen. Angela was introduced to karate shortly after her figure skating and quickly progressed to becoming an skilled. She won a silver medal at the age of 14 in the 1996 Armenian Youth Full Contact Karate Championships which took place in Yerevan Armenia. Angela is never able to lose her love for sports.
