Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Her work has received acclaim for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). She was raised by an artistic family in New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. The first job she had was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modeling and acting. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three years, she was named the most popular female box-office starter in the whole world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in 1972. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV series The Winds of War. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married three times.
