Silk was born Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actress, director and producer who taught at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter who was a renowned academic. Anna remembers the earliest moments of her childhood when she used to see her mother in rehearsals for plays. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials as an infant. She was in 1997 when she earned her bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its early years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk was moved to Toronto in order to perform and improve in November of 1999. The following decade, she moved in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actorsworkshop at Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009 and were they were married at an official ceremony in December of the same year. The couple reaffirmed their vows April 10, 2011 at Fredericton during an Jewish service after she became Jewish.
